CHSN Mission StatementHere's is North's mission statement:
"As a family of open-minded people, Clarkstown High School North prepares students to become ethical, responsible, and creative global citizens who will leave their mark on society. Collaborative efforts between the local and school communities will provide guidance, support, and opportunities for involvement. This will enable students to participate in challenging academia, athletics, and arts; organize community and school events; voice their opinions on a local and national level." Contact InfoPlease click on the "Contact Me" link in the title bar (or click here)
RemindRemind is an optional tool that I encourage students to use. It allows me to safely text/email students reminders about items related to class. You may sign up as well if you'd like to receive the alerts. Please visit the For Students page and scroll down for the appropriate class codes. Feel free to email with any questions.
Online Gradebook (Parent Portal)The Parent Portal on eSchool will allow you to view a teacher's online gradebook (if they choose to use it). I am incredibly excited for this feature, as I believe it will open the doors to important information. My gradebook assessments will be published to the portal as soon as I have them graded. Please note: any missing grades will immediately lower your child's average; this will adjust once the work is turned in. If you see something that concerns you, please feel free to contact me (see above).
For information on creating a Parent Portal account and/or logging in, please view the information that can be found on the District's website. Common Core State Standards (CCSS)Everything we teach must now follow the Common Core State Standards. This is a set of standards that 46 states have adopted. Please note, the link provided is to the New York version of the CCSS - New York is using the standards verbatim, but has added in an 11th College and Career Readiness standard that contains a global focus.
